Luxat hosted the event “Implementing Plan A: IT Transformation from Vision to Reality” on 5 March 2025,bringing together around 80 Finance and IT professionals in Luxembourg.
The event focused on the practical realities of IT transformation in banking,combining strategic discussions, real-world experience, and a concrete customersuccess story.
The evening opened with a paneldiscussion moderated by Jim Kent, where industry leaders shared theirperspectives on how organizations can successfully move from strategy toexecution in IT transformation initiatives.
Christine Huberty, Head of ITProducts and Services Delivery at BIL, highlighted the centralrole of IT in driving transformation projects, while also emphasizing thechallenges organizations face in finding and retaining skilled professionals toimplement new technologies.
Stéphane Fisch from LTIMindtreeunderlined the transformative potential of Generative AI, noting that it is setto fundamentally change how banks operate across functions and services.
Davy De Regge, Managing Partner aticonnect, stressed the importance of change management, internalcommunication, and employee engagement. He explained that successfultransformation requires inspiring teams, reassuring staff, and ensuringorganizational readiness through strong internal communication and awarenessinitiatives.
Javier Díaz-Mauriño Jiménez,Managing Director at Accenture, emphasized the need for clearstrategic direction from leadership. He explained that organizations mustassess the risks of inaction, define a clear “north star,” and focus onbusiness value, revenue impact, and technology choices aligned with concretebusiness objectives.
The second part of the eventfeatured a customer success session presented by Minh Hoang Nguyen, DataGovernance & Digital Program Manager at POST Luxembourg. He showcasedthe development of POST Luxembourg’s digital banking application, eboo,illustrating how in-house development and digital transformation can delivercustomer-centric and innovative banking solutions.
Following the formal sessions,participants continued discussions during a networking reception, exchangingexperiences and insights on IT transformation challenges and opportunities in arelaxed and informal setting.
